Dixie Southeast Shootout at NCQMA

 

  • Entry fees are $40.00 per car at this event.
  • Track will be closed on 5-23-2014 Friday.  No practice allowed.
  • One two minute round of controlled practice on Saturday morning at 9:00am immediately following the 8:40 am Mandatory drivers meeting.   Heat races immediately following practice.
  • You may Pre Register on the NCQMA website to help expedite the registration process.  Visit www.ncqma.com and click on the Saturday Registration link to enter your information.  Payment is not required to pre register however you must still visit the tower to complete registration and make payments during the scheduled registration time.
  • Registration will be open Friday night from 6-8 pm and from 7-8:30 am on Saturday.  All persons must sign in and have an armband to be in the pits.  All competitors will be required to sign the NCQMA Zero Tolerance Policy as well.
  • The event will be run by NCQMA members and we will follow our club rules.  You may view these on the NCQMA website.
  • All competitors must supply their own fuel.  It must be purchased from the Wilco Hess station at 995 Peeler Rd.  Located one exit south of the track at exit 71 on I -85.  You must purchase 87 octane for this event.  Please refer to the NCQMA fuel policy on our website.
  • There will be a two lap work rule for this event.
  • In the event of a rainout Usac National Rainout point structure will be followed.
  • Heat race lineups will be generated from a random computer pill draw.  We will use USAC Passing Points for heat races only.  All lower main transfers will be straight up.  Top six in passing points will be locked in the A main.  We transfer four cars from the lower mains.
  • Race order for the event will be as follows: Heavy 160, Jr Animal, Sr Animal, Red Rookie, Heavy Honda, Sr Honda, Blue Rookie, Lt World Formula, Jr Honda,  Lt 160, and Heavy World Formula.
  • Lap Counts are as follows.  Red Rookies 10 Heat and 20 A main.  Blue Rookie 15 Heat and 25 A Main.  Max of 8 rookies in an A Main.  All Rookies will run an A Main.  All other classes run 20 Heats, 25 Lower Mains, 30 B Main and 35 A Mains.  All Rookie races will have a 20 minute time limit.  Lap counts and time limits may be adjusted at discretion of NCQMA Chief Steward.
  • Red Rookies will be required to run with left rear wheel hub locked.
  • Max of 10 cars for A Mains.  If only 11 sign in we will run 11.  Maximum of 7 cars for heat races in competitive classes, 8 or more we will run multiple heats.
  • Track will be open for parking at 8:00am on Friday.  Please refrain from parking in reserved spots that have names painted on them.  There will be someone there to assist you throughout the day.
  • Top three finishers in competitive classes and all rookies will receive awards.
  • NCQMA Snack Shack will be open for breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
